PARLIAMENTARY COMMITTEES SERIES 6/2014

The Parliamentary committee meetings listed below will be open to the public during the coming week.
Members of the public may attend these meeting, but as observers only, not as participants, i.e. they may listen but not speak. All meetings are at Parliament in Harare. If attending, please use the entrance on Kwame Nkrumah Ave between 2nd and 3rd Streets and note that IDs must be produced.
This bulletin is based on the latest information from Parliament. But, as there are sometimes last-minute changes to the meetings schedule, persons wishing to attend should avoid disappointment by checking with the committee clerk [see names below] that the meeting is still on and open to the public. What Other Committees Will be Doing
All the other committees are also scheduled to meet, but in closed session. These closed meetings will be for such purposes as:
- · deliberating on evidence received at previous meetings, reviewing work plans and preparing questions for witnesses due to appear before them at future meetings
- · considering Bills [the National Assembly Portfolio Committee on Finance and Economic Development will be considering the Sovereign Wealth Fund Bill] [soft copy available – see addresses at the end of this bulletin]
- · going on familiarisation or fact-finding visits or tours [the Portfolio Committee on Mines and Energy will be touring the Diamond Technology Centre].
