#mugabe slams leaders who ‘stay too long’ [WTF!]

via Mugabe slams leaders who ‘stay too long’ | News24 2014-02-24

Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe has reportedly slammed some of his Zanu-PF party provincial officials whom he said had over stayed in their positions of leadership and “produced no result”.

According to The Scotsman, Mugabe, who celebrated his 90th birthday at Rudhaka stadium in Marondera on Sunday, seemed to have no sense of irony as he accused the leaders of staying too long in their leadership position – even though he has been in power since independence in 1980 and refuses to name a successor.

Mugabe was quoted as saying:  “Those in leadership who have stayed long and have produced no results must now give way and allow other leaders to take over.”

Mugabe also boasted about his 31 July poll victory over Morgan Tsvangirai of the opposition Movement for Democratic (MDC).

According to New Zimbabwe.com, Mugabe said the MDC and Western powers were stunned by his party’s triumph and “they still have no idea what hit them”.

He said the MDC and the West were left baffled.

Mugabe was forced into a government of national unit with Morgan Tsvangirai after the disputed 2008 elections, a development that the veteran leader described as humiliating.

The unity government ended after Mugabe and his Zanu-PF party won a two-thirds majority in last year’s general elections.

I don’t believe Mugabe ever learned about irony while studing for his correspondence degrees in violence. It’s far too subtle for his nine year old brain (see earlier article). He has no concept of the pot calling the kettle black!

Mugabe vented his hatred on the Ndebele cos of his fathers love for the women from that tribe, he unleashed his 5th brigade on them. He hates the whites and forced them out of the country by intimidation. He hates the west. He hates everyone who opposes him . When he goes to hell JosiahTongagaro, Rex, all the MDC he has murdered are waiting for him . All the souls who laid their lives down for him in the war all for nothing are waiting for him. That’s why he lives on because hell is going to be too terrible for his soul.

The sham and illegitimate election was simply the regularly scheduled coronation of the President for Life. It usually helps when your guys get to count the ballots in secret.

I think he lives in a world of dreams, because how can you talk about others who have stayed long and produced nothing to leave and forget that they are actually emulating him who has overstayed in power and produced nothing but suffering for millions for people in Zimbabwe

Mugabe has not written his speeches for years and most likely does not proof read or even understand them today.

Agreed! His Birthday speech and even his attempt at the U.N. last year were halting, stuttering, awkward, badly-read speeches. Very poor indeed! If you’re going to attack people then at least do it properly.

Poor performance from the 9 year old.

Is there no independence square in Zimbabwe? Thats where its all starting for change of leadership. Writing has taken us nowhere and can never be a threat to the powers that be.

In total and humble agreement with you. Now is the time to put aside our pens and papers and get into serious business. How long are we going to moan like a crippled 100 year old woman? We see it happening in front of our TV screen. They felt the same pain you feel now. However, the refused to carry it any further. True, lives will be lost. Is freedom not a worthy cause to die for?
