Biti, Mujuru join forces

Leonard Ncube in Binga
AFTER realising that their support is waning, the People Democratic Party led by Mr Tendai Biti yesterday announced that it will unconditionally join Dr Joice Mujuru’s Zimbabwe People First and will not even front their leader as a presidential candidate for 2018 elections. PDP vice-president Mr Samuel Sipepa Nkomo announced this at a ZimPF rally which was addressed by Dr Mujuru at Manjolo Business Centre in Binga yesterday. Mr Sipepa Nkomo, who struggled to stand and spoke while seated, claimed Dr Mujuru was God-sent to save Zimbabwe as he quoted a verse from the book of Esther in the Bible.

“We bring a message of solidarity from PDP to say we are together. Zimbabwe is OK and all we need to do is change the driver and direction,” said Mr Sipepa Nkomo. Mr Sipepa Nkomo was accompanied by Messrs Gift Mabhena, Eugene Dube and Lameck Ndlovu, all PDP provincial members. PDP is an offshoot of MDC-T.

Speaking at the rally Dr Mujuru confirmed that her party has the same traits with the MDC-T which has been seeking to effect regime change with the help of western countries.

“When we combined with MDC-T in Gweru, some said I was a sellout. MDC-T had their demonstration and we had our rally so as opposition parties we agreed that as democratic parties we should unite when we do things that are common with our people,” she said.

You can quote from any book of the Bible but let me tell you that Joice Mujuru is no God send to Zimbabwe! She is out of the same cocoon as Mugabe and she will lead this country down the same path. She does not have Godly credentials and is a bone thrower, and I pray that God will not give her any part of the next government. She also has the blood of Gukurahundi on her hands and is part of Mugabe’s thieving genocidal murderous band of thugs.

It is a relief to know that Leonard Ncube was reorting from Binga. That is the place for the strongest mbanje that Zanu insists in smoking. Thankfully we do not have to take his complete rubbish seriously.

ZimPF should be careful with Biti’s party. These people will derail everything.
They realised that they have no support and now want to come back through other parties and cause headaches.
Biti’s party just brings argumentative leaders but no followers and so ZimPF should be very careful.
Coalition for the sake of it will not help anything.

    “Biti, Mujuru join forces”

A very mouthful title indeed. However, it attracts among others, this big question: which” forces” is the author is talking about? For all we know Biti does not have any forces. One may give Joice the benefit of doubt but certainly not Tendayi. Tendayi & his one man or at best two men (Tendayi & Jacob outfit; two learned lawyers, yes) have been around for long enough for anyone tell that they are not a “force” to talk about. So, given that background one can only wonder and ask: which “forces” is author talking about??

The title would simply be better put as: “Biti joins the yet to be tested ZimPF”.

In fact, these lawyers need to ask my friend one Lovemore Madhuku, where being an astute politician is the same thing as being a brilliant lawyer, or even a professor of law. Obviously, the answer will be overly disappointing to them should the revered professor choose to shot from the hip. The same applies to being any excellent (or just a lucky) account, engineer, etc. Political astuteness is a totally different & complex ball game – even professors of politics are not practically capable to excel in the real field. Hence the reason you see the jonathan moyos of this world shamelessly sing for their lunch & super – having adopted the ‘if you cant bit them or equal them, then join them” attitude. That’s how complex politics is – ngatisanyegerana nhema.
