Headlands Ward 34
On the 9th of June 2015, the aspiring candidate Charles Chingosho, Colonel Mutsunguma and Nathaniel Mhiripiri accompanied by 9 unidentified soldiers clad in uniform had a meeting at Nehumva Primary School. During the meeting, Colonel Mutsunguma and Nathaniel Mhiripiri addressed the meeting and stated that those who do not vote for Chingosho will have their farm offer letters taken away and also risk being denied food aid after the election.
Ward 10
On the 9th of June 2015, there was a group of ZANU-PF officials stationed 600metres from Nemaire Primary School polling station where they required people to go and register their names. The names would be used for food aid distribution.
Ward 32
At Mount Carmel Secondary School polling station voting started at 7:05am and is going on well. The total number of people who have voted shall be compiled by 10:00am. However, there is a ZANU-PF official stationed 50 metres away from the polling station writing down names of those who are going to vote. The names are going to be used for identifying beneficiaries of food aid.
Ward 34
At Headlands Business Centre polling station voting is going on well and by 8:30am, 19 people had cast their votes being 6 women and 13 men.
Hurungwe West
Ward 16
The polling station at Nyadara Primary School was opened at 7:00am. However, people were not voting as they were waiting for their Village Heads approximately 500m away from the polling station. This is so that they can vote as a group in the company of the Village Heads.
Ward 17
Village head Chinovhirunga held a meeting in his village at 6am today where he threatened villagers not to vote for Independent candidate, Temba Mliswa.
Village heads at Nyamhunga polling station are arranging people in the queue according to the village they come from. Mliswa’s polling agent informed the police at the polling station but no action was taken.
Ward 25
At Matau Primary School polling station (also the ZEC Command Centre for the area) voting is going on well. However, at 6:55am, there were some polling agents campaigning in the queues but immediately stopped by the Presiding Officer, Mr. Mupazvirihwo.
Glen View South
Ward 31
Voting has commenced and a few people are voting, there is no queue on site.
Tsholotsho
Ward 8
Some cars being driven by alleged ZANU-PF members are hooting and transporting senior citizens to Mbiriya Primary School polling station for voting.
This follows a promise made at a rally held on the 7th of June at Mbiriya Primary School where it was stated that senior citizens would be provided free transport to go and vote.
