via Former minister Midzi found dead – The Zimbabwean 9 June 2015
FORMER energy minister, ambassador Amos Midzi was found dead in his car just outside Harare this morning.
Police sources said Midzi was found dead in his car at his Marirangwe farm near Harare.
The former minister was one of over a hundred ZANU (pf) officials sacked from the party for allegedly supporting Joice Mujuru. Midzi was at the time, the Harare provincial chairperson of the faction-riddled party.
We were unable to independently verify reports that Midzi had committed suicide.
According to sources, the police were still at the scene and had not yet retrieved the body which was locked inside his car.
