I’m aiming for higher post- Grace Mugabe

via I’m aiming for higher post- Grace Mugabe 10 October 2014 by Tatenda Chitagu

MASVINGO — First Lady Grace Mugabe yesterday disclosed, for the first time since she was nominated to lead the Zanu PF Women’s League, that she was now targeting an even higher political post after being mentored by her husband President Robert Mugabe for years.

Addressing thousands of Zanu PF supporters during her “Meet the People Tour” at Mucheke Stadium in Masvingo, Grace, who inferred she was President Robert Mugabe’s apprentice, said her elevation and ambition should not come as a surprise as she had received enough mentorship from the 90-year-old party leader.

“You would see me quiet, a young girl, what did you think I was doing? I was learning,” she said in a speech, adding more weight to speculative reports that Mugabe was grooming his wife to succeed him as President.

“So what is shocking you today? You made me what I am, I was copying from you. You are not supposed to be shocked, I am seeing a higher post. If you are not serious, women will take over the party.”

Grace then broke into a song before she issued a warning about a looming purge in Zanu PF in the event of a Cabinet reshuffle.

“Some of you here were called [by Mugabe] and were warned, but you did not listen. You know what’s next. There are many people who can take the job that you have. You are a crook. If you harden your head, what if the person you are fighting for loses? What will you do? Where will you go? When it ends, some people will suffer strokes,” Grace said.

Carrying on with her tradition of not naming the subjects of her attacks, Grace warned that the day of reckoning was nigh.

“Other people have been in political oblivion, but still they do not want to repent,” she said.

The First Lady threatened unspecified people, warning they should not play with fire lest they got burnt.

“You only realise after something has befallen you and others say you brought this upon yourself,” she added.

Grace saved her strident attack for those angling to succeed her husband.

“Most people were being spoon-fed by my husband. He worked for them, yet today you hear them saying they want to rule the country. Are you able to rule? Leave us alone, you are revolting, you are not able to rule the country.”

Grace said most senior party officials clamouring for leadership change in Zanu PF had survived politically courtesy of her husband’s graciousness.

She also reiterated accusations that some top officials were receiving money from the British and Americans to effect leadership change in the ruling party.

“There are others who are selling the country. We are aware of it. Others are bribing the Women’s League,” she claimed, before delving into one of her husband’s favourite themes.

“We know you are receiving millions and we will expose where this money is coming from. You are receiving money from the British and the Americans, but we are watching you.”

The incoming Women’s League boss also warned that those receiving money would “pay for it”, as the money was meant to dislodge Mugabe from power so “whoever came into power would give back farms to the whites”.

Is it kind of funny that she claims she has been tutored by Mugabe and therefore has a right to the crown but also says there are those in the party who have also been tutored ‘spoon fed’ but are not entitled to take over. Literally what she is saying is that Zimbabwe belongs to someone with the surname of Mugabe. To show how much she has been tutored she does not mention names just like Mugabe when he talks of ‘sanctions’ he does not say ‘target sanctions’ he tells half truths and lets those not in the know to fill in the gaps. That is exactly what Grace is also doing. Also Grace is indirectly explaining her Phd saying she has graduated and thus her Phd is a reflection of that who capped ‘her’ hubby after pillow talk graduation. There you have it

The only people qualified to make the final decision on who should rule Zimbabwe are the people of Zimbabwe in free, fair and credible elections. All the democratic reforms will be implemented before the next elections to guarantee free, fair and credible elections, the first one in the nation’s history and the first of many to follow.

Regime change that Zanu PF has resisted all these years is now upon us and we are not to be denied – not this time, not ever!

Over 30 000 innocent Zimbabweans have lost their lives for Zanu PF selfish political gain. This is an open wound, unfinished business this nation must attend to and will. If Grace thinks she too can secure her hold on power by shedding fresh blood then she is very much mistaken. If she thinks this nation will be cowed down by threats or murders, again she is very much mistaken.

Her speech says it all. She is not qualified at anything and her words are evidence enough that she is just an ignorant mistress. Nothing else. Unfortunately Africa today is almost totally devoid of REAL leadership but has an over abundance of kleptomaniacs calling themselves leaders. In exactly the same way that the President of Equatorial Guinea’s son has a fortune totaling over three hundred million dollars, from a salary of one hundred thousand a year, so go most of the rest. In Mugabe they have had a fine tutor, and this is all Disgrace has learned from him. Her record says it all.

Seriously she believes that she can aim for higher office but no one else in ZANU PF can? who does she think she is? what utter and complete nonsense and the height of hypocritical. Zimbabwe has and will never be a kingdom and there is no inheritance to the presidency. It does not belong to Robert Mugabe and his family and both Robert and Grace should be wise to remember that they exercise power on behalf of the sovereign people of Zimbabwe and only for a limited time until the next election. Zimbabwe (or what is left of it after the three decades of a ZANU PF kleptocracy) belongs to Zimbabweans and NOT to ZANU PF and ZANU PF would do well to remember that because as Martin Luther King so rightly put it, there comes a time when people get tired and the signs are increasingly clear to all to see that we are close to it. The economy which they failed to rig is in the intensive care unit and will soon be comatose and when that happens, hell hath no fury like a scorned, broke, nothing to lose Zimbabwean. Remember the shooting in frustration of the soldiers and presidential guard in 2008 Robert. Next time it will not only be walls that are being shot, it may be you!

Oh Boy! Poor Africa is all I can say and poor Zimbabwe! Will probably take over a hundred years to get anywhere near a democracy. So, not even in our kids’ lifetimes!! But …. history will tell the story and that will be their legacy.

We MUST assure ourselves and the
    Global community that Zimbabwe will
NEVER accept anything else but FREE,
    TRANSPARENT and MONITORED Elections.

There will never be another NIKUV, or
another Lost Voters Roll. MDC will NEVER
make the mistake of estimating that the
huge rally turnouts would guarantee Votes.

Mugabe is finished, ZANU is finished, dis-Grace
is finished, Ngwenya and Nyasa Nyoka are done.

Rise Zimbabwe, like a beautiful Phoenix from
    the Mugabe ashes and ZANU/Military/Nikuv
    stranglehold.

    Rise my Beloved Country!

Dis- Gracelessness has been given a long rope to top herself. She has embarked on a metriculous journey of self disembowelment. Anyone who ever entertained thoughts of this woman being anything more than Mugabe’s whore will be well convinced of how wrong they were.
Everytime she has opned her mouth this past week it has been one bout of diarrhoea after another .How anyone can still sit there and listen to this hollow ,shallow woman praise herself and her ancient Husband beats me.

For the people of Zimbabwe tell me one thing she has said if she ever (fat chance) became President she would do for you?
    nothing

She talks endlessly about herself her farms her husband her dairy business……SHE SICKENS ME.

    SELFISH VILE HO
She is vain, she is vapid. She thinks of on one other than herself. She has not even consulted the people if they want her in any position of leadership other than the Party Women’s Toothless League.

I’m flabbergasted by such utterance coming from an unschooled, supposedly PhD graduate. I wonder why the UZ did not teach Disgrace to philosophise. As they say, if you go to bed with an itchy anus, you work up with smelly fingers. What should the learned Zimbabweans expect? The ZANU PF women’s league allowed passage to the knife and so their backside should learn how to expell it. Mugabe and Disgrace have literally made fun of the masses, war vets and everyone who believed peace and tranquility. They stink, they stink and I’m ashamed to have known such uneducated family of thieves. Mugabe thinks Zimbabwe is his bedroom. He and everyone with the same mentality are no different from mercenaries who fight for money. That’s what they did and now think they’re entitled to the 30 pieces of silver. ZvimaJudas zvevanhu. Muchaiona nyaya yacho. Mugabe has nothing to worry other than meeting his creator. Disgrace and other cronies, don’t you worry, we will investigate gate you and bring you to book!
