The founder members of the war veterans association have disowned the association’s leader Cde Jabulani Sibanda describing his actions and utterances as treasonous.

The founder members said Cde Sibanda disrespected the First Family by saying they had initiated a ‘bedroom coup’ on Vice President Dr Joice Mujuru.

Addressing members of the media at a local hotel in Harare, Cde Victor Matemadanda who spoke on behalf of the elders said Cde Sibanda’s utterances and threats to President Mugabe who is the war veterans’ patron cannot be left unchallenged.

The elders resolved that Cde Sibanda is no longer in good standing as the Chairman of the Zimbabwe National Liberation War Veterans Association as he has betrayed the ruling party Zanu PF.

The beleaguered Cde Sibanda was quoted in the press accusing the First Family of what he said was a ‘bedroom coup’.

In his address in Mutasa, Cde Jabulani Sibanda queried why the First Lady Dr Grace Mugabe had been given coverage by the public media.
In his rant, he claimed the ZBC had given Amai Mugabe eight hours on television daily and went on to label state media security threats.
