A 28-YEAR-OLD Chitungwiza man appeared in court yesterday for allegedly threatening to kill a South African national in retaliation for the ongoing xenophobic attacks targeting foreigners staying in the neighbouring country.

Reason Tsoka was not asked to plead when he appeared before Chitungwiza magistrate Lazarus Murendo on a charge of allegedly threatening to kill Oscar Makgalane Ramathibela (36).

Tsoka was remanded out of custody to today for his plea recording.

According to the State papers, Ramathibela was drinking beer with his wife at a night club in Chitungwiza on Sunday when Tsoka confronted and threatened him with death over his fellow countrymen’s violent behaviour. According to the court papers, the situation was eventually calmed down and Ramathibela was escorted out of the place by his wife’s relative who advised him to report the matter to police.

About seven foreigners, among them two Zimbabweans, have been killed in the anti-foreigner violence, while thousands have been left displaced in South Africa over the past two weeks. To date, Zimbabwe and Malawi have repatriated a significant number of their stranded nationals from across the Limpopo River.

In fact, we want those SA Nationals with mines here to pack and go the same way we chased the white farmers.

Go home to Mzansi and leave Zimbabwe’s gold, platinum and other mines alone. Do you hear that you unMakwerekwere! Your mothers’ be*he! Lazy uneducated people who will rather attack a dead man’s statue and leave the live one currently living large on your uneducated sweat.
