Pastor now with CID Harare: VIDEO

THE preacher behind last week’s ‘stay-away’ anti-government protests, Evan Mawarire this morning went with his lawyer to Harare central police station after being summoned.

This comes a day before more planned mass action to force President Robert Mugabe to address the country’s  economic problems.

Yesterday Mawarire posted a video message on his site saying he had been called by police in Harare but had not been told the reason why police wanted to talk to him.

“The police called to see me this morning and I will be going there because we have not broken any law,” Mawarire told journalists yesterday.

Mawarire and his #ThisFlag social media-based movement organised the biggest strike against Mugabe’s government since 2005 last week, shutting down most businesses in the country.

This morning Mawarire posted pictures of himself going into the police station. “I am now at CID Law and Order at Central Police. I am going strong and healthy. Pray for me,” he said.

I propose that all progressive and sympathetic Zimbabweans attend the court hearing for Ps Mawarire. Lets fill the court, let cover the courtyard and line the streets. Lets support our hero.

I join with many others to pray for your protection Evans, but also that many Zimbabweans will follow your brave call and rise up in peaceful protest and demonstration against a corrupt and evil government. Remember WOZA and their brave demonstrations. Zimbabweans your time is now, rise up with peaceful demonstrations and stay aways. Make your silent voice heard. Cheering you on from UK.

Most of us have camera phone….asisebenziseni the technology tht we have bakithi. Take pictures we will also deal with those police and the CIOs later. They bleed red blood just like u & me, we have watsapp let’s communicate. It sounds hard and scary but if u and me sit, cry and complain, then Mugabe wins again. These are his last days and he’s gonna go out fighting, but he knows he already lost the fight …..he’s a dying horse.Grace and the kids babalekile already, ain’t the one said Mugabe will rule Zimbabwe from the grave….Now she can see ukuthi nothing good for them is coming out of this. Zimbabweans are taking their beloved country back. Police are slowly changing sides I personally know few. Because they know how it’s gonna end eventually. So take lot of pictures sizabangena one by one. And if you know the house of umpholisa who took/takes part in any unlawful beating of non violent demonstrators. Let’s deal with him or her the same barbaric way they do to us. It’s for our children….we are the mothers and fathers of our nation. If we can not give our children this beautiful gift “Zimbabwe” what’s there to give. Let’s stand united and do what’s right, and do it for our children…..ngiyabonga,ndatenda,thank you
