Unite now to deliver killer punch: Chamisa

via Unite now to deliver killer punch: Chamisa 13 November 2014 by Nelson Sibanda

The ongoing Zanu (PF) succession battles present democratic forces and ordinary Zimbabweans with an opportunity to gang up against tyranny says Nelson Chamisa, former MDC-T organising secretary.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with The Zimbabwean this week, Chamisa said true democrats were obliged to seize the opportunity presented by the Zanu (PF) dog fight to liberate the country from the jaws of dictatorship.

“There cannot be a better opportunity to unite forces against tyranny than now. It is not time for democratic forces to define their differences but to unite and deal Zanu (PF) the killer punch as they fight among themselves,” he said.

Chamisa called on all democrats and citizens to join forces and fight the ‘unnecessary suffering’ among the people.

Asked about his loss at the recent congress and his political future, the charismatic politician said he would rather focus on the struggle for democracy for now, than speak about issues that might derail the people’s project.

“In politics it is best to speak through action than words and I will remain in the trenches until democracy is delivered to the people,” said Chamisa, vowing never to abandon the struggle for democracy.

He scoffed at rumours that he intended to join some other opposition party in protest at his defeat by Douglas Mwonzora in the race for secretary general.

Meanwhile, sources privy to the succession battles say the Mnangagwa camp is fighting to dismantle the Mujuru faction and kick her out of office at the elective congress next month.

If everything goes according to plan, the former Women’s League boss, Oppah Muchinguri will be nominated VP and second secretary at the congress.

“With Muchinguri as VP, next year Grace would impress upon President Robert Mugabe that their political, social and economic interests would be safe with Mnangagwa as head of state. She would advise him that his time was up and Mnangagwa should be the 2018 presidential candidate,” said a top Zanu (PF) politburo source close to Grace.

Whats wrong or alarming for Mnangagwa to be appointed VP, if there was nothing odd about Mujuru being appointed VP??? Tis time for genuine nationalists to be seen rising above…..anything inferior to nationalism.

ZANU PF is fighting to try to draw attention of the media and definately derail the attention of the people on their failures to address economic challenges. Taking advantage of the confusion and fighting within the ZANU PF now would not be advisable since they will regroup and fight dirty again. Rather its time for the opposition to put their house in order and allow the situation deteriorate beyond salvage levels, allow if need be Mnangagwa to go all the way, show his true colours, and then ZANU PF will be extremely fragile and very week. The war veterans will be divided and then finish of ZANU PF at its weakest point. Mnangagwa is easy to deal with, as a crocodile, when he bits thus when you will poke in the mouth to make sure he will let go. Now he has not yet bit, he will still scheme other means. Garce is too stupidy to be even a chairperson of the women’s league, she was not even trusted to be a good wife, behind her there are so many names of boyfriends, James Makamba, Gono, and even Peter Pamire.
