Why elective?

via Why elective? 10 December 2014 by Jera

After months of calling it an ‘elective congress’ why then did Zanu (PF) decide to make it one where Mugabe appoints the politburo and vice presidents? At a time when there is no money to pay decent salaries to doctors, nurses and teachers, why is a congress ($3M plus) necessary if the president can simply elect people, even from his bedroom?

The longer Mugabe’s leadership continues, the deeper Zimbabwe will sink into economic crisis – does President Mugabe not care that his name will forever be synonymous with inflation, Murambatsvina, joblessness, cholera and Gukurahundi?

It is evident; investors are circling Zimbabwe, waiting for the one stumbling block – Robert Mugabe – to get out of the picture. Why is it that among thousands of men and women who had the courage to sleep in snake-infested bushes in the fight for freedom, there is not even one who has the courage to stand up to Robert Mugabe?

Till next week, my pen is capped. Jerà Twitter @JeraZW

    Hezvo:
Please focus on the issues at hand rather than bringing up historical events that we the voters have accepted as part and parcel of the ZPF we love to vote for. 1.Murambatsvina- good programme to prevent slums.
    2. Gukurahundi- national programme to deal with an armed insurrection. No problem whatsoever.

The congress was necessary to bombard Joyce. It achieved its objective so it was worth the millions. Stupid Zanu thugs
