via Xenophobia: Moyo warns South Africa – NewZimbabwe 14 April 2015
OUTSPOKEN information minister, Jonathan Moyo, hit out on Tuesday at xenophobic attacks in South Africa, warning that xenophobia could “easily mutate” into genocide.
“King [Goodwill] Zwelithini must extinguish what he ignited. Xenophobia is a crime against humanity,” Moyo tweeted in one of the first public reactions from a Zimbabwe government official to the wave of violence that has horrified many Zimbabweans.
“Xenophobia today can easily mutate into genocide tomorrow. Stop It,” Moyo said, using the hashtag #AfrophobiainSAMustEnd.
South Africa is home to at least one million Zimbabweans, many of them illegal residents.
Moyo also hit back at ANC secretary-general Gwede Mantashe’s criticism of President Robert Mugabe’s treatment of whites, saying Zimbabwe did not agree with the ANC’s view on blacks.
The information minister, who is behind Zimbabwe’s tough press laws, tweeted a link to a story headlined “We differ with Mugabe on whites: Mantashe” and commented: “And we differ with @MyANC_on blacks!”
“In Zanu PF we reject Afrophobia,” Moyo said in another tweet.
His comments were in reaction to Mantashe’s claim on Monday that the ANC “theorise[s] colonialism differently to Zanu PF”.
Meanwhile, there have been calls on Zimbabwean social media for locals to boycott a show by Durban-based group Big Nuz in protest against the xenophobic violence. The group is due to perform in Bulawayo on Friday.
Not everyone agrees with a boycott however. Twitter user @patphiri said: “So are people also going to boycott #SABC soapies/ SA PSL/ SA booze kumbe #BigNuz #Cassper are the fall guys.”

If differing with Mugabe on whites means lynching black Africans instead, then we have a problem with our dim-witted brothers down south who would rather “kick down statues of dead white men but won’t even attempt to slap a live one…”, Robert Mugabe. It has been said that South Africans are backward, gregarious morons.
Chanisa, you are a brave man sitting in Harare. Go to South Africa and write your rubbish or speak your rubbish, because in South Africa stupid people like you black or white are a small minority. I South Africa there are millions of hectares of farmland for sale because the whites want off the farms. Blacks don’t buy the farms because they want to work and live in the cities where there is electricity running water a functioning sewerage system, the schools have teachers and books, the hospitals have doctors and medicines and government department employees don’t want bribes to do their jobs. That’s why millions of Zimbabweans are there, along with Malawians, Somalians, Congolese, Mozambicans, Swazis, Sotho, Kenyans, Tanzanians, Rwandese and Burundians. They are in South Africa because there are white an black people who are creating jobs generating money and there is a possibility of a half decent life which they cannot get at home. There are idiots like Goodwill Zwelithini sparking zenophobic riots like Mugabe attacked the whites, and both of them should be sent to jail for their stupidity much less their actions.
For your information Kevin, I have worked in South Africa for all of 6 years in telecommunications, and ran a construction company that I grew from nothing to Grade 7 CIDB in two years. My staff were mostly foreign black. I know the place very well. I was assaulted outside my office and robbed at gunpoint at my house and left with a swollen head and 10 stitches for weeks. Even took up Muay Thai and bought a gun. There are morons down there who don’t want to work but dribble at other people’s possessions. I’d rather die standing than live on my knees. What do you say to that my patronizing white friend?

They are all in it together – Zuma, Zwelithini and Malema. By the police commissioner saying they cannot be expected to patrol all illegal settlements, and knowing that most of the violence is at the margins of urban settlements, they surmise that this might be one way to chase away illegal immigrants, implicitly admitting to their inability to manage the migrant labour situation. Their ignorance is reflected in the unintended consequence of a far-away, credible, Boko Haram getting involved, and being oblivious to the fact that for South Africa to be what it is it’s because Black Africa provides a market for their exports, and the labour to help generate those exports. News comes in that South Africans have been assaulted in Mozambique. The trend may well continue apace, and meanwhile, Black Africa will be taking over their country as they do Europe. They are morons I say. So much for a warrior tribe.
With the worlds help and international santions Africans now govern themselves Right What Ian Smith said that “they will not be able to govern in 1000 years” is correct They have all the means but not the ability. PROVE ME WRONG!!!
