Registrar-general Tobaiwa Mudede has told Parliament that corruption is rampant at his office.
While giving oral evidence to the defence, home affairs and security services committee, Mudede said some of his officers were involved in the racket of issuing out birth certificates, national identity cards and passports.
“We are calling in the police to arrest the culprits and hand them to court for prosecution,” he told the committee, chaired by Zanu PF MP Clifford Sibanda.

Please don’t forget to look into the corruption of the voters roll, which was the flagship of corruption at Mudede’s office.
He was said all is ok at his office just 10 months ago. He is just as old as mugabe , should have retired. Poor Tsvangirai could not get rid of him. Mudede the election fraudster.
Internal controls are not a responsibility of auditors, Tobayiwa, instead its a management respoonsibility. Your are the best manager at register geeneral’s offiice to put internal mechanisms that flashes out bad elelments in your organisation, failure oof which you must resign. How disgusting. Come on! Police have nothing to play in the managing of your oorganisation.
