Grace #mugabe: New Zanu-PF kingmaker?

via Grace Mugabe: New Zanu-PF kingmaker? | News24 2014-04-07

Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe’s wife Grace is reportedly emerging as a powerful political force within the ruling Zanu-PF party as she fights “to ensure that the interests of the first family are secured” when Mugabe eventually leaves office.

According to The Standard, a senior Zanu-PF official said the first lady became interested in the country’s politics after it emerged that a section within the ruling party was pushing for Mugabe, 90, to quit before his five-year term of office expired in 2018.

The report said although the first lady was not interested in any position within the party, some of bigwigs within Zanu-PF were “now abandoning their factions to rally behind her”.

‘Chaos’ and ‘fissures’

The Zanu-PF official was quoted as saying Grace’s influence had seen Mugabe failing to implement certain decisions agreed by the party.

The official said indications were that whoever eventually succeeded Mugabe would need to have the blessing of the First Lady.

This comes amid what has been described in the media as “chaos” and “fissures” within the Zanu-PF, as different factions position themselves for the eventual succession of the veteran leader.

There are two main camps dividing the Zanu-PF party. One faction is linked to Vice President Joice Mujuru and another is reportedly led by Justice Minister Emmerson Mnangagwa.

Mugabe, who turned 90 in February, has been in power since the country’s independence in 1980.

Disgrace only has a short time left to enjoy her stolen farms and wealth and shopping because it will be taken away shortly!

She wants her moronic son Robert Junior (ha ha) to take over the dynasty. Do any of the Mugabe kids look like him? Bona looks like her mother but the other two, well,Peter Pamire comes to mind.

I personally think that this is the moment of confusion in the country. This now looks like a Ship just sailing and hoping to see where it ends up. The going ons in the ruling party and the opposition are not at all helping. Stories are coming out about corruption, back stabbing and exposure. No one is doing anything about it. There is a deafening silence from those that are supposed to be handling the law and order side. All different stories are coming out that nobody knows who’s telling the truth or not. Factions and splits among the major players are the order of the day.Whilst all this is happening, in another part of the country others are trying to come to terms with the effects of the floods, and are trying to get their lives back together. One thing the Politicians across the divide should know is that at some point they shall face the wrath of the POVO. It is only a matter of time.

      @Mixed Race,u figured it out.
The true kingmaker is in the shadows, and its a full time occupation, for someone who has to put curves in a brick wall and ensure that hyenas accept lions as their kings.

@Mixed Race too true. The problem is that you end up not being able to have useful debates or comments because on the next page you might find out it was an exaggeration or a lie. The Bennett story comes to mind.

Grace, you adulterer, marriage breaker. A son who bludges on miners’ wages. A senile husband. An economy in ruins. Happy? If not, try shopping with the wages of the poor! You are famous for being such a manipulative, corrupt and disgusting human being. You join a long list which history will portray as the scum of the earth.

I told you months ago the next president will be a Mugarbage. dis-grace may have to step up to the plate whilst the youngsters get to know the ropes but rest assured as the old dictator said ‘Zimbabwe is mine’

Yah that’s what I am thinking!Get ready for a Mugabe dynasty which will rule till donkeys grow horns and sing the national anthem. First Grace will rule and loot till she’s tired, then Bona or Bob jnr will take over, then their kids and their kids. …

Grace is nobody. She will not be a kingmaker. Her businesses will go bankrupt as soon as her husband is out of office. She will return to the poverty and obscurity that is her birthright.
