via Guruve farmer dies after ‘brutal’ attack | SW Radio Africa by Alex Bell on Wednesday, May 21, 2014

A Guruve farmer, who was brutally beaten in an attack on him and his daughter near their property earlier this month, has died this week.

Malcolm Francis and his daughter Catherine were attacked by unidentified suspects on May 10th. The pair was found beaten and unconscious by a family member who rushed them to hospital.

Catherine passed away last week Wednesday as a result of the serious injuries she suffered.

Malcolm passed away on Monday night.

The Commercial Farmers Union (CFU) has expressed its shock and anger over the incident and called for the perpetrators of the attack to be brought to book.

The group will be holding a press conference in Harare on Friday to discuss the situation facing the agricultural sector in Zimbabwe, in light of the deaths.

The brutal attack of these people must be condemned by all those who believe in the rule of law. Condolences to the family and friends of these two Zimbabweans. I only hope their deaths are not in vain. I share your pain.

A very sad day for Zimbabwe. Two lives from one family for nothing. Deepest sympathies to their family.

These two paid the ultimate price for attempting to continue to feed their fellow countrymen. Those that committed this crime will be brought to book. Maybe not by this, our lot. There are other HUTU’S out there that will look into these crimes even if we are dead and gone. No one gets away with anything.

I pray God to comfort and give strength to the famliy of these innocent people who have lost their lives through the babarians, thieves and murderers managed by the despotic mugabe regime..
    Another milestone in their evil.
So they are begging investors to come and save their zimbabwe from economic collapse while they murder and pillage with impunity.
I hope one day when have a real police, a real judiciary, will prosecute not only these but their Zanu Masters as well right up the the arch devil Mugabe, his thieving wife, his thieving family his henchman and his minions.
I AM SO PAINED BY THIS BARBARIC MURDERS OF THESE INNOCENT PEOPLE. MAY GOD FIGHT ON THEIR BEHALF.

Condolences to Francis family. Unfortunately no justice system in this country. Judges tend to be perpetrators n the case goes nowhere.

Shameless murder. Makes you sick to the heart and mind. RIP, free from these people at the very least.

Zimbabweans and the world as a whole knows who did this and why. If it was a political incident especially involving opposition parties, the police would have acted at once and arrested a thousand innocent citizens. Shame on these thugs and their corrupt clueless leaders. May the deseased’s soul rest in peace.

How do we attract foreign investment when barbaric acts like this go on? There property rights in Zimbabwe, rule of law is something of the past. When someone murders or steals as long you carry a Zanu card you are safe.

Only vandals and cowards attack defenseless people because they are weak. These senseless killings will not make things better for the masses.Let us see what the law enforcement agents will do to bring these criminals to book.
@Apolitical has failed to respond to my requests because he has realised that his comments were without technical and political facts but governed by cheap hatred and lack of common sense and wisdom. If he has learnt something from these debates,we should thank God for one life transformed for better.

    OH LORD, NOT AGAIN!!

What should we do with these Gukurahundis good lord?

They are blood thirsty and are never quenched -what shall be done?

They ripped the stomachs of our pregnant mothers and sisters apart – to remove the “little Ndeeeeere dissidents” – we thought that was enough.

Now they have their land, they got their pound of flesh what else do they want??

    LORD HAVE MERCY!!!!!

No one can imagine the horror and fear Catherine and Malcolm Francis must have gone through at the hands of the barbarian murderers! May their souls rest in peace and God be with the family at this dreadful time. Spread this event far and wide – to let the world see what humble white people are subjected to in Zimbabwe. The perpetrators will never be found. There is a political agenda behind it – which will emerge when the “new owner” moves onto the farm. And Zimbabwe continues to appeal for investment and aid? For what? To cushion more crime and corruption?

Its really sad and we pay our sincerest and heartfelt condolences. We denounce this barbaric act of murder. Now that the environment has been poisoned by bad politics people have suspects. How can we overcome this nihilism. Where is the law? Who tempered with the law to make Zimbabwe so dangerous? Is this normal and are we now used to death. We sigh with hopelessness and hope heaven has better things in store. God save Our Souls
