President Robert Mugabe (89) and members of his entourage were once again caught sleeping during the Arab-Africa summit in Kuwait on Tuesday.

The images will surely raise questions about why his regime continue to spend millions of dollars in scarce resources every year on such trips only for them to go and sleep during the proceedings.

Kuwait’s Emir Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Sabah opened the third Arab-Africa summit on Tuesday with a pledge to provide $1bn in low-interest loans to African countries over a five-year period.

The summit seeks to promote economic ties between Gulf and African states.

Yes shame Robert, not so good. However, for me this is not a surprise, people sleep even when the most important word of God is being preached. In the developed world, they have legislated that cameras only focus on parliamentarian that is speaking at that time, any other images must not be broadcast. So Mugabe sleeping really for me does not surprise me, its the norm worldwide.Even the youngest of presidents do that.

In civilised countries this would be a scandal of monumental proportions. How dare you say its okay to spend millions on a trip so as to sleep during proceedings. How does the country benefit from a sleeping president and his sleeping foreign affairs minister. Shameless idiots.

As much as you don’t agree, its legislated here where I live. Obama has been caught sleeping….Hey they dont need to sit an exam after the presetnations. There are people who need to take proceedings anyway and the whole presentations are available for them after that. Travelling to those meetings is a formality and everyone knows that. So let the old Rob sleep as he wish and no great deal earned humiliating him in these posts
