Firstly, Zimbabwe is an IT not a her !!! and, secondly, “my best wishes for your happiness and prosperity in the coming year” is a joke.

You wonder if she’s being ironic. It’s like wishing a terminal cancer patient “Best wishes for health and happiness in the future”

She, the Queen, never mentions “her” and
anyway, she doesn’t have to wish us anything.

Be a little human, you ZANU- boot-licker!

Queen Elizabeth 2 wishing the PEOPLE of Zimbabwe congratulations, happiness and prosperity. Not a mean bone in her body unlike Mugabe and his moronic thugs.
    A regal,lovely and compassionate lady.
    God bless your Royal Highness.

For those in the British Foreign Affairs/ Intelligence services, who no doubt monitor this website, please advise Her Majesty that whilst her greetings and best wishes are appreciated. Could she wake up smell the coffee and see what has been the wonderful result of her damn politicians wheeling and dealing some 34 years ago. Not to mention their total incompetance for the last 34 years in the face of the now total collapse of the country.

Maybe she should start using her influence on said politicians to start assisting the democratic forces in Zimbabwe in a meaningful way as opposed to fence sitting and worrying about their next career moves!

The Queen has no ‘career’ fool!
      She is a Constitutional Monarch,
and therefore has no say in the
      work of Government.

      Alos, poor uneducated one, she
isn’t sitting on any fences, she
is the Queen, not the Prime Minister!

And when she saw he had fooled her,
like ALL of us, she ‘dishonoured’ the dog!

Maybe you have never over-estimated anyone
in your life, you foolish person!

The Queen is “APOLITICAL” so I would say her message is appropriate. She has not congratulated the thieving Politicians but the ordinary Zimbabweans. Lindy lou makes a lot of sense.

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to deduce that the Queen was being sarcastic! Apparently, she is saying: while I congratulate the people of Zimbabwe who should be free, the damn 34 years of Ole Excellency’s rule has been bad enough.

I struggle to comprehend on what the congrats are based on post-independence,Her Majesty.Only if you were specific beyond our misery and malaise about our country.Did you know her Majesty that Zimbabweans rousted by zanu pf now aliens all over the world are smirked for being Zimbabweans and they have lost dignity to the extent of hiding their country’s nationality status.Shame on your misplaced ironic and conjectural inference.

Ian Smith who fought for the Allies in WW2 vilified and comprehensively sanctioned by the Brits because he struggled against the world to prevent the mess we are now in. Robert Mugabe who taunts and criticizes the Brits and his universal supporters while taking their money is lionized and knighted. Black is White; White is Black; truth is lies; lies is truth. Britain – On 11 November 2014 please have the decency to commemorate the Black and white Rhodesians who gave their lives to the Allied causes in WW1 and 2. Okay for the ozzies and yanks who slaughtered their Natives. Hypocrites.

I think the Queen is right because ironically speaking it is goof to express your dissatisfaction this way because it is quite diplomatic and that is the wishes of all zimbabweans who continue to use the same tyres despite the worn threads.

  • comment-avatar

She is part and parcel of the reasons why Zanu and Mugabe have ruled Zimbabwe for 34 years.

  • comment-avatar

Cannot understand why her majesty the Queen is congratulating Zimbabwe for the last 34 years of chaos that independence has brought to Zimbabwe.A country which is bankrupt and corrupt, what have the Zimbabwean people got to look forward to under the stewardship of Mugabe.lets hope the next ten years of independence is not as bad as the last decade.
