Ban contraceptives: Mudede

via Ban contraceptives: Mudede | The Herald July 15, 2014

Registrar-General Mr Tobaiwa Mudede has urged Government to ban contraceptives which he claims have negative side-effects on women’s health.
In an interview yesterday, Mr Mudede said he had consulted medical experts who revealed that the use of contraceptives had harmful side-effects.
“These drugs should be banned in the country as they are also being rejected in other countries. They are killing productive women and this is also affecting our population,” he said.

The side-effects associated with Norplant include hair loss, headaches, irregular menstrual bleeding patterns or lack of menstruation, abdominal or stomach cramps, change in appetite, fatigue, vomiting, decreased libido and cancer.

Mr Mudede said the use of Depo-Provera led to stomach discomfort, breast pain, back-ache, blemishes on the skin, pimples, sleepiness, sudden sweating, redness of the face, neck, arms and occasionally upper chest, nausea and headaches.

He said the side-effects of a Nexplanon included cancer, headache, mood swings, inflation of the oil glands of the skin causing red pimples on the face and skin.
Mr Mudede said medicines known for affecting the Nexplanon implant include medication for HIV and epilepsy, and rifabutin, which is for treating tuberculosis and rifampicin (used to treat TB and meningitis).

Earlier this month, Mr Mudede urged Zimbabweans to stop using contraceptives arguing their use was a ploy by powerful nations to retard population growth in Africa.

Mr Mudede said contraceptives were responsible for pandemics such as cancer in women.
Contraceptives were popularised in the country from the 1980s with donors and Government discouraging people from having large families.

Bearing a child each year was discouraged as a bad practice.
According to the 2012 Zimbabwe Population Census, the population growth rate was at 1,1 percent for the last 10 years, while the average size of a household was at 4,2.

The population growth rate was also 1,1 percent in the 2002 census.

Mudede should shut his mouth and let the people that know speak.
“According to the 2012 Zimbabwe Population Census, the population growth rate was at 1,1 percent for the last 10 years.” For the last ten years the people have been leaving Zimbabwe in droves because of an economy in the intensive care unit. If every Zimbabwean returned right now the Population could be anywhere between 16 to 18 million. What is he talking about? Any country that losses the amount of people Zimbabwe has is got to be in a very bad state.

Mudede the idiot has failed to provide passports and other important documents to the population so he has decided to be an expert on medical health issues! We already have one moron in the ministry of health and Mudede’s contribution is worse than that of Mbeki or Zuma on HIV. Africa and Zimbabwe in particular is in trouble.

I enjoyed reading the article. This guy has several kids born out of wedlock. There is the Susan Mariota in Bindura, He has not done anything. There is a Brandon Chesango in Marondera, another Jestine Maziona in Chitungwiza and many more…..he wants to go on planting other kids all over like President Zuma but women are now smarter, hence he is an angry man

The best argument in favour of contraceptives is Mudede himself. If his mom had availed herself of such devices we would not have this idiot among us. If it is not too late I recommend a vasectomy for him in order to stop the idiot gene polluting our nation even further.

This is definitely not a good idea as we run the risk of more of Mudede’s ilk being born. Enough said!

What is he talking about?Which medicine has no side effects on this planet? All men made items have side effects because their natural appearances or composition have been altered heavily. The cell phone he uses daily is gradually killing his brains due to high frequency radiation which may lead to unexplained headaches and skin bleaches.
It is therefore extremely important to use items in moderation to be on the safe side not to ban products as if people are stupid not to make their free choices.Zimbabwe economy cannot sustain the influx in population therefore families are clever to reduce the number of children per family.

Mudede should have retired long back . he is a dinosaur like all his Zanu dodos. With the Japanese and EU women averaging the ripe age of 85 compared to The Zim one of 38 and having less than 2 kids as compare to our 4, Mudede must visit his Sangoma and get his money back.
Do these guys have grand children? At that age I would be entertaining and enjoy life with my grand kids.
Fools , no wisdom at all.

This brain dead animal has had someone read off the Possible side effects that these medicines MAY have. Does he intend to have banned all medications that have possible side effects? Does he not realise that in civilised countries it is a legal requirement to publish this information to protect the public, would he rather take pills bought on the side of the road which have no health warnings taken on the say so of some charlatan?
The journalist is equally moronic to have printed this article, Mudende should not be allowed into print

What an imbecile. Typical of all Zanu PF dogs. He fails to deliver in his department and starts commenting nonsense in a field that he knows zilch about. Stupid idiot Mudede are you in Health now? Which medical experts did you talk to and why? Please pay attention to giving people documents in time and cleaning the voters’ roll and not open your stinky mouth about stuff you dont know. If you have nothing to say just fart silently like you always do.

If Mudede wants to comment about what happens in the field of medicine he should go back to O level and do Maths,Physics,Chemistry and Biology and then proceed to A level on the grounds that he passes. He should do the same at A level, at least any 3 of his choice then enrol with the Universty of Zimbabwe for the MBChB.It is not every idiot who is supposed to comment on matters medical.By the way I still have my Introduction to Biology,Ordinary Level Physics by AF Abbot,Artiknson for Ordinary level Chemistry, Advanced Level Physics by Nelkon and Parker,Bostock and Chandler for A level Maths and even the logarithic tables.Armed with the few books Mudede might scale to greater heights in the medical fraternity and not the non sense that he is vomiting.
