A FORMER ZRP officer, who fled the Mugabe regime in Zimbabwe, has been jailed for 30 weeks for possessing a false passport that enabled him to find employment as a care worker.
Southampton Crown Court heard that Edward Mukuze had initially come to England as a legitimate visitor but later bought a false passport in London after he had overstayed.
Prosecutor Siobhan Linsley said the document, which had been issued for a baby girl, was discovered with his picture and details on it after it had been reported lost or stolen.
Mukuze, 50, of Sholing Road, Southampton, admitted possessing the passport.
Judge Derwin Hope told Mukuze that his offending went to the heart and root of Britain’s control system.
Mukuze has filed an application to remain in Britain and the decision lies with the Home Office.

Kinda torn on this one. Was this a good cop trying to flee the corrupt ZRP in Zim or a bad opportunist cop seeking to expand his horizons in the UK?

Who cares what happens to petty criminals lock him up for his crimes and send him home to his just reward. I’m sure the corrupt ZRP can use his talents again. Maybe ZANU will give him another chance to abuse the Zim populus
ZRP personnel is illiterate, is it not that they have attendance certificates for marching and using button sticks.

These are the people that the CIO will be waiting for at the airport after deportation. This is a virtual death sentence for him when he comes back to Zimbabwe.
