Tshinga Dube, Masuku in trouble over alleged Mugabe plot

ZANU-PF Politburo members Tshinga Dube, Angeline Masuku and Dr Sikhanyiso Ndlovu are under fire from Bulawayo province for allegedly plotting against President Mugabe.

Yesterday party members meeting at Davies Hall held placards denouncing the three politburo members.

Party members also chanted songs denouncing the trio.

Masuku, Ndlovu and Dube according to Zanu-PF Bulawayo provincial acting chairperson George Mlala, were axed former chairperson Professor Callistus Ndlovu’s allies and had not repented from plotting against the President.

A vote of no-confidence was passed on Prof Ndlovu and five members of his executive last week for allegedly fanning factionalism, sabotaging First Lady Grace Mugabe’s rallies and misappropriating funds.

Some of the placards held by party members read: “Phansi lo Angeline Masuku” (Down with Angeline Masuku), “Sikhanyiso don’t interfere with party business”, “Down with Tshinga Dube”.

Other placards read: “Dr Grace Mugabe is 100% correct”, “Byo churches are in solidarity with the 1st family, Dr R.G Mugabe and Dr Grace Mugabe.”

Mlala said anyone with his or her name written on the placards should repent now or step down before being embarrassed.

He said it was vital that Zanu-PF weeds out any unruly elements before Congress.

“The message is clear and anyone with a name appearing on the placards should repent now,” he said.

Mlala said Masuku had never supported Zanu-PF hence she was relucant to wear party regalia.

He said the new executive will soon embark on an exercise to restructure the party.

Mlala said going to the Congress, all chairpersons should bear in mind two goals: Supporting the candidature of President Mugabe for 2018 elections and endorsing the ascendancy of Grace Mugabe to the helm of the women’s league.

He said as a province they were not going to carry bad apples to Congress.

“We’re going to Congress and we want the people who’re fully behind the candidature of President Mugabe for the 2018 elections and the take over of the women’s league by Grace Mugabe,” said Mlala.

Meanwhile, in what observers said was a show of solidarity with the new executive, the Minister of State for Bulawayo province Sandi Moyo made a surprise visit to Davies Hall.

When she arrived, Mlala was addressing party supporters.

“I support, you but I’m passing through,” said Moyo in a short address.

And why bother to even have a congress if people attending are so dumb they have to be told exactly what to do or not do? Supposedly this is a free country.

But are they in full support of the party or just occupying seats to avoid being called THE OPPOSITION? One must not be told to follow ngoba end of the day he or she wont be there when thought to be following.
