Mutasa wasting time: President

PRESIDENT Mugabe yesterday said the court challenge by fired Zanu-PF officials, Messrs Didymus Mutasa and Rugare Gumbo, is a waste of resources that is bound to fail as no court could interfere with disciplinary matters of the revolutionary party.

He said even if a judge or magistrate was going to consider the matter for possible hearing, they would question his or her educational qualifications.

President Mugabe said this while addressing thousands of people gathered at Chinyika Ranch, Ward 2, Chirumanzu-Zibagwe Constituency, to witness a ground-breaking technology, the Exothermic (Alluminathemic) demonstration by African Chrome Fields (ACF), meant to beneficiate chrome ore to ferrochrome.

Value-addition and beneficiation are key pillars of Zim-Asset, the Government’s five year economic blueprint.

In his address, President Mugabe said Zanu-PF had proper structures and a constitution to be followed when dealing with disciplinary matters.

Messrs Mutasa and Gumbo, former secretary for Administration former secretary for Information and publicity respectively, last week took President Mugabe and Zanu-PF to court, challenging their recent dismissal and seeking nullification of the party’s congress and its resolutions.

“Regai kumboita hanya neavo vanoti tinonomhan’arira party….ndiani akamboti policy yeparty, bumbiro reparty rinotibatanidza, ibumbiro renyika? Hutongi hwayo huri mubumbiro macho ndiro rinoratidza kuti kanamunhu aine godo, aine chigumbu kubva kubranch, anotongwa kubranch ikoko, kudistricts, kuprovince, zvose zvakarongwa province yopira nyaya kuCentral Committee, youya kuPolitburo. Politburo ndiyo inedisciplinary committee.

“Nyaya inokwanisa kubva ikoko yoenda kuCentral Committee yobva yozoenda kuCongress. Hapana nyaya inoenda kucourt inoenda kunamargistrate. Tati hatichakuda kumusangano wedu wakuenda kunamargistrate. Iye margistrate kuti abate nyaya iyoyo ndinoti aah wakafunda kupi?” President Mugabe said.

The legal challenge filed at the High Court by the pair’s lawyers came a few hours after Mutasa was stripped of his Headlands parliamentary seat alongside his nephew Hurungwe West MP Temba Mliswa by Speaker of Parliament Cde Jacob Mudenda after Zanu PF Secretary for Administration Cde Ignatius Chombo notified parliament of the expulsion of the two.

He said the national laws gave the margistrates and judge the power to preside over cases, adding :”Zvekuti uzotonga zveZanu PF wazvizivira kupi?”

“Zvino iwewe kana wanzi hatichakuda mumusangano hongu unosungirwa kumhan’ara asi unomhan’ara kupartyka. Nyaya yako inogona kusvika KuCongress kana isipo kuCentral Committee.

“Zvinotonyadza kuti iwe wavakupembera, kuti munhu iyeye chokwadi munhu aive pamusoro peparty aine hukuru muparty asingazivi kuti nyaya dzeparty dzinotongwa muparty dzenyika mumacourt.”

President Mugabe said the court challenge was a waste of resources.

“Kana fuza risingarayike regera rinokanda mari yaro mudziva zvichinzi ndimo mune hove inozobuda yawanda asingazive kuti simbi hadzipinduke dzichiva huni,” President Mugabe said.

Meanwhile, President Mugabe also warned people to be wary of false prophets that were mushrooming on a daily basis and ripping people of their money.

Turning to the chrome smelting technology by the ACF the President said Government was fully behind their investment.

“You can continue to establish the project. It’s an investment project and you won’t find any hindrance in your project. We will facilitate its establishment,” he said.

He called on ACF to start operation as soon as possible.

“You said you will take 11 months to fully establish the projects. I don’t know how the 11 months could be reduced. If its labour, let the people work even at night like what the Chinese do, they work 24 hours and that is how they manage to finish their structures in record time,” said President Mugabe.

“I think it’s a method we should adopt so that we have a continuous process in existence.”

The President said gone were the days of exporting the country’s natural resources in their unprocessed state.

President Mugabe said value addition was a key component of the economic blue print, Zim-Asset adding that the country still had many reserves of untapped natural resources.

“Tsika yatinayo iyezvino ndeyekuti zvose zvatinowana pasi pevhu kana zvirimwa torega kutengesa zvakadaro tozvigadziridza sezvaiitwa izvi. Kwete kutengesa ari matombo zvaiitwa nanaUnion Carbide. Simbi inemubairo kupfuura matombo atinochera pasi totengesa akadaro.”

He said unlike South Africa, the country’s minerals were still on the surface and could easily be tapped.

President Mugabe also took time to assure Zimbabweans that in the wake of potential draught in the country, no one was going to die of hunger.

The President said the government was going to do everything in its power feed the nation.

“Isuwo tinezvatinokwanisa asi rubatsiro rwedu harwikwanisi kusvika kwese kwese nekuti munyika muno takawanda asi tinoshava kuti pasave anonzi afa nenzara. Simbirirai chembere, vana, tuvana twunoenda kuchikoro hatidi vana vanonzi vafa nenzara.”

Robert that is nonsensical to say the courts will not pursue the case. Lets see if the judiciary has any balls!

Wonders never cease it is unconstitutional for a member of the executive to pass a judgement on a matter pending before the judiciary. It breaches the principal of seperation of powers. The party can not be above the law particularly if it breached the rights of citizens by not following due process.

Mugabe, if you know you are right and did everything according toyour Zanuidiots constitution why do you fear the courts? In a democratic sovereign state, every constitution of any entity is subordinate to the country’s constitution.
For you to threaten judges is indictive of the total idiot
    that you are. The national
constitution is supreme law of the land and everything else, including your bedroom costitution is
    subservient to it.
Your threat to judges is a
demonstration of your unfitness to hold the highest office in the
country. Sekuru endai kumusha munogara, musiye zvekutonga,
makanguri mazvikonewa. Warped mindset of surviving on blackmail
    and threats.
Nobody owes you anything, stop your bulls**t, you are not the only one who was in exile or championed the struggle. No are nothing but a hijacker and kidnapper of the true struggle for freedom and equality. At age 17 years I was on the front and all this nonsense you have done and continue to do is in anti-phase to every principle and value of the struggle. Mugabe uri nhunzva-tunzva, mudzvinyiriri mukuru kupfuura ‘regime’ yaSmith. Zimbavha.
