Ndlovu said she was also donating sanitary pads to girls in primary schools in Bulilima and Mangwe districts through a programme expected to run until 2023.

“In that vein I have decided to launch a programme to buy sanitary pads for all primary schools in Bulilima and Mangwe districts. I will be buying them from my salary every month for the next five years. Women you selected me to be your representative so I should also do something for girls who are mothers of tomorrow. I have already donated to other schools,” she said.

She urged school authorities to counsel girls and urge them to desist from indulging in premarital sex to reduce teenage pregnancies.

Ndlovu also urged women to go for cervical cancer screening.
