Georgia yesterday pledged to develop bilateral relations with Zimbabwe taking advantage of opportunities brought about by the new dispensation.

In an interview after meeting Vice President Kembo Mohadi at his Munhumutapa Offices, Georgia’s Ambassador to Zimbabwe Mr Beka Dvali said there was need to enhance political and economic relations.

“We want to evolve our relationship through political dialogue and mutual understanding and we were thinking about how we can advance and bring together relations in the field of economic trade, and investments,” said Ambassador Dvali.

“Tourism is one of the potential areas which is very key for Georgian economy and also for Zimbabwe’s economy. We want to see more Georgian tourists here in Zimbabwe and more Zimbabwean tourists in Georgia.”

VP Mohadi said Zimbabwe was open for business.

“Zimbabwe is open for business and we receive anybody who is destined to come and do business in Zimbabwe,” he said.
