ZIMBABWE’s maize production may drop by more about 50% this season due to a January dry spell that rendered the early planted crop a complete write-off, farming industry players and forecasters said.

Last year, Zimbabwe produced 2,1 million tonnes of the staple grain, more than its 1,8 million tonne annual requirements.

This is easily fixed. Just get Dr. made back with Prof Scoones and they can sell the best propaganda in the world via the Zanu Herald and the Bulawayo Chronicle. Many times a disaster on the ground has been sold to the people of Zimbabwe as a “Bumpah Hahvest” by Scoones and Made. Why would their be a change without Zanu Icon Mugabe?

Actually the government is more than likely relieved the maize crop is less. They don’t have the money to buy it!!!!!! In fact they are probably hoping that it’s a total write off and get Aid Maize instead.
