Mugabe disowns Harare, Bulawayo

via Mugabe disowns Harare, Bulawayo – DailyNews Live by Ndakaziva Majaka

Mugabe says his government will not assist Harare and Bulawayo residents after they voted against his Zanu PF party in the recent harmonised elections.

Addressing thousands of mourners yesterday during the burial of Mike Karakadzai — a former liberation war fighter and head of ailing National Railways of Zimbabwe (NRZ), at the National Heroes Acre — Mugabe said Harare and Bulawayo residents should go and demand service delivery from the MDC because they “don’t support” his party.

“Did you really think that level of ignorance could run the country? Harare and Bulawayo actually voted for this amount of ignorance, chiendai munopihwa zvamakavhotera (now go and get what you voted for from them). I hope our country will never repeat this feat again,” Mugabe said.

Mugabe’s Zanu PF party has never won meaningful seats in the two cities since the formation of the MDC in 1999, until this year when the ruling party managed to get six parliamentary seats from Harare — but still failed to get anything from Bulawayo.

During his campaign, Mugabe promised jobs to Bulawayo youths and an improvement in service delivery, and with his party winning over two-thirds majority in Parliament, expectations are high from unemployed youths in the once industrial hub of Zimbabwe and indeed throughout the country.

The former guerrilla leader — who has led the country since independence in 1980 also said military personnel will continue dominating key government institutions because his “Zanu PF cannot be separated from the military”.

“We have not militarised the public sector, nothing could be further from the truth. Zanu PF is already militarised.

“Yes, it has the political side for which its military fought for, but the life of the party which led to victory came from the armed struggle,” the octogenarian leader said.

During his 33-year rule, ex-military individuals have been appointed to head key institutions especially parastatals.

Some of the institutions that are still being led by either ex-serving or current soldiers include National Railways of Zimbabwe (NRZ), Zimbabwe Tourism Authority, and the State broadcaster, ZBC.

Serving soldiers such as Douglas Nyikayaramba have been appointed to lead NRZ while Karakadzai — himself a retired Air Commodore — left the Air Force to revive the State railway company.

During his reign as general manager of NRZ, the company struggled to survive with workers going for months without salaries while some locomotives were grounded.

Mugabe said he will continue using military personnel in the civil service.

“Whose civil service is it anyway? Is it not Zanu PF? So what’s this nonsense I hear? As Zanu PF, we are more of a military party, we went to the liberation struggle and freed this country through our military ranks.  I don’t see why people would be surprised with this,” Mugabe said.

“These are people in the military who embody leadership virtues which enable them to lead the parastatals, they know what we fought for and how to preserve it,” he said.

Senior military officers have in recent years been appointed to top posts in public institutions, including State-run companies and the judiciary, as the armed forces increase their influence.

Military individuals such as Christian Katsande, a retired colonel, is deputy secretary in the office of President and Cabinet while Elliot Kasu — a retired Brigadier sits on the boards of the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation and the Zimbabwe Football Association (Zifa).

Another retired military boss who is active in public sector is Col Tshinga Dube — who is chairman of a State owned mining firm — Marange Resources.

Opposition parties have accused Mugabe of holding on to power through the aid of the military, who also have in the past said they will not salute a president without liberation war credentials.

On the eve of the 2002 presidential election, senior army and air force bosses issued a statement saying they would not support a president who lacked credentials from the 1970s war of liberation against white rule — a clear reference to opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai.

Mugabe, at the same function also took a swipe at the MDC leader, who lost the recent elections saying the former prime minister was an “ignorant person”.

“An ignorant person who is aware of their ignorance is redeemable, but if you are ignorant of your ignorance we have a problem,” Mugabe said of his arch rival.

He said this referring to Tsvangirai’s attempts to challenge his election victory in the courts after he had previously lashed out and questioned the impartiality of the judges.

Mugabe was declared the winner of the disputed polls with a 61 percent margin compared to Tsvangirai who got 34 percent of the total vote.

He attacked his former inclusive government partners for attempting to reform the security sector during the lifespan of the shaky coalition government.

“What security sector reforms? I had never heard of that word before, sector reform ipi yaunoziva iwe (what reform do you know of)? Since when has a frog aspired to being a crocodile?” Mugabe said.

Hear, hear, hear people of cursed Zimbabwe!!! Chindzvayi zvotaurwa ne chikwambo chiiye manje. Robert Mugabe is a complete irredeemable idiot who’ll never grasp what it is to be president of a republic, a country that is democratic. This idiot in one breath he says he fought and liberated this country for our oppressors, pushing for “one man, one vote” free from any external or any other pressure. The right to choose their own leaders, this right to choose Robert Mugabe recently alluded to in his speech, but this Gangster has since forgotten that he must be every Zimbabwean’s president. This is typical give away behaviour of an idiot who has been rigging elections all his life. A president is threatening his own people!!! It’s unheard of SADC, AU and any other stupid groupings that clandestinely endorsed this monkey must now know him for what he is, a bloody thirsty murderer. Why??? Why??? Threaten people for exercising the democratic right to self representation. Old man you’re a waste of space. Your mental arrangement is subhuman.

Guys, haugumbuki bcoz you know you are dealing with a Lunatic. Asi chiiko nhai! Who does Mugabe think he is to the people of Zimbabwe? What was the purpose of the election if everyone else was suppose to vote for him! Mugabe is running mad I tell you and he is going to loose it big time like Hitler and soon he will be ordering firing squads against all he percieves as his enemies. He is obsessed with POWER, he cannot see any other person leading Zimbabwe except himself.

I shudder to think if all those who voted him in were aware he has lost his mind big time. Who does he think he is really? This is arrogance at the highest level. And his actions are a clear indication of his end times.

He is too old and too frail to waste his energy this way. Go well and leave us in peace. Kana mafa,’tinoti wafa wanaka’ and we will sing songs of praise and write the best aulogy ever.

This raises some tripidations, how can a president have such comments to his own people, the president is loosing focus ,i really don’t blame him but i blame ZANU PF for not releasing this old man from such hot sit. Mugabe must be give a chance to retire but unfortunately ZANU PF members doesn’t have confidence on themselves then they use the old man as a scape goat .Mark my words Mugabe will go or will be taken away by God then he will rest in peace with ZANU PF as he hasn’t done enough on his succession plans ,it will be end of ZANU PF which be divided into factions by then and opposition parties will take such an advantage against it .

Some of our comments people are not encouraging ,their some people who still believe that tribalism it’s the main thing in Zimbabwe we are all Zimbabweans being from Harare or Bulawayo we are one country one nation.thus why most of us we don’t prosper because of that mentality of Shona and Ndebele ,we don’t have to follow what Mugabe and Nkomo did that was their time, lets unite and be proud of our country.i was listening sometimes when Nkomo ran away to South Africa when they were interviewing him, they asked him do you think it’s because of tribalism thus why people are being killed in matebeleland ?he said no he doesn’t believe on that ,of which I agree with that.why um referring to that when I was reading some of the comments their just showing tribalism seriously of which I dun think it does make sense at our generation to follow what our leaders used to do really,if he said his will not do anything matebeleland yes I would say yes it’s tribalism but he mentioned to cities Bulawayo and Harare .to me you are a Shona or Ndebele we are both brothers and sisters I am a Ndebele and dun support some of the comment which people brings up without thinking

Now that Obama and Cameron are intending to strike Syria without UN assembly mandate this also means that Britain and USA can also take military action against Zimbabwe overriding any veto from other countries, Mugabe will not have China support but will be a guest at the World Court, Dr Gono is already wanted for rewarding International Money Laundering involving Industrial Commodity Holdings in RSA over the fake fertilizer imported into Zimbabwe in 2007 although it was not actually fake but railed to Tzaneen where it was tampered with after it was certified in South Africa by SA Global who had already certified it as pure ‘D ‘ of course all those farmers who bought that fertilizer from GMB Aspindale their Maize crops failed.

Robert the blind mouse has gone barking mad because the urbanites from Harare and Bulawayo know that there will be zero progress in Zimbabwe until the stubborn and rebellious zanu muppets are relieved of power. The landslide rigging has totally failed to convince the Zimbabwean citizens or the world of the legitimacy of his dishonest claim to power. The urbanites see that he has no true charisma or honour, his undecisive and wooly headed leadership style can not possibly deliver the results Zimbabwean citizens have a right to expect. His enduring legacy will be that of a bitter failure who hated Zimbabwean citizen’s and destroyed the country chances of prosperity.

Extrapolate this to to the recently stollen elections, I can confidently conclude mugabe hardly got 10% votes while Tsvangirai got 90% or more.Simple analysis but effective.
