Mnangagwa calls for peace

Prime Minister Emmerson Mnangagwa has posted the following statement on his Facebook page following this afternoon’s bomb blast at his Bulawayo rally:

This afternoon, as we were leaving a wonderful rally in Bulawayo, there was an explosion on the stage. Several people were affected by the blast, and I have already been to visit them in the hospital. While we await further information, my thoughts and prayers are with all those affected by this senseless act of violence.

The campaign so far has been conducted in a free and peaceful environment, and we will not allow this cowardly act to get in our way as we move towards elections.

Let us continue to be united and address our differences peacefully. The strongest response to violence is peace. The strongest response to hate is love.

God Bless Zimbabwe

Oh, so when people return his own medicine – it is not right ? I mean he can murder people like Mr. Oberholzer as a part of the Crocdile Gang and then twenty years later be instrumental in the genocide of 20 000 civilians in Matabelalnd – and then have coup in 2017 – but now mysteriously call for peace when he is President? How many people are there around Zimbabwe who have lost relatives to murder by Mugabe, ED and Shari? Should we be surprised by a bomb? For all we know it could have been from a ZANU plant anyway? There are plenty of ZANU malcontents who have been trained to kill people.
