President Emmerson Mnangagwa has fired several senior Zimbabwe Republic Police officers aligned to the former Commissioner Augustine Chihuri, who was dismissed late last year.
Among the axed officers are: Deputy Commissioner Generals Sibanda, Matibiri and Shambare, Commissioners Bungu, Ndebele, Tanyanyiwa, and Senior Assistant Commissioners Munyonga, Guvamombe, Chengeta, Masukusa, Mlilo, Maenzanise, Chakanyuka, Makodza and their effective mouthpiece Senior Assistant Commissioner Charity Charamba.

Chengeta was sacked almost 30 years ago as an inspector after being convicted of buffalo poaching, and then magically reappeared. Nothing political about that.
