Bhasikiti said the expulsions were unwarranted and, therefore, it was of no use to ask the victims to appeal after going through a humiliating ordeal.

“It is extremely surprising to hear Zanu PF asking those it expelled or suspended to write letters of appeal.

Unashamedly they set up a kangaroo court to hear those appeals. I just wanted to give free advice to Mugabe and his wife,” Bhasikiti, who was expelled from Zanu PF alongside 186 others on allegations of plotting Mugabe’s clandestine ouster with former Vice-President Joice Mujuru, said.

Mujuru has since formed the opposition Zimbabwe People First party, with Bhasikiti as one of the top officials.

“They (Mugabe and company) should simply apologise to all the people they abused with their unwarranted expulsions and suspensions. Personally, I have already forgiven them as required by the Holy Scriptures. Jesus said to his crucifiers: ‘Forgive them for they know not what they are doing’.

“I urge all the self-respecting cadres not to glorify Mugabe’s abuse by writing unwarranted letters of appeal for there is nothing to appeal for, but receive an apology from abusers.”

He also urged Mugabe to apologise for the 1980s Gukurahundi massacres, where at least 20 000 civilians were allegedly killed by a military unit unleashed to Midlands and Matabeleland provinces by the Zanu PF government.
Mugabe has only described the episode as “a moment of madness”.

we really only want an apology for the massacres. The rest is your private business. But we also want those who ordered and committed the massacres to pay for their roles, in some way. This might be jail, community service or other form of compensation

i am sure those culprits wanted the apologies as they wish to go back to their old crew ZANU-PF. It will not be a surprise to here that Mujuru is back in the party and others like Gumbo, Mutasa, as they want to finish the little lootings they left in ZANU-PF
