The tightly-contested elections saw Gift Kangausaru winning the chairmanship of Zanu PF South Africa branch with 93 votes against Kennedy Mandaza’s 57 votes.

The elections, attended by over 300 Zanu PF members, exposed serious divisions among the Diaspora community, with mostly Kangausaru’s allies grabbing the posts.

Some disgruntled members from South Hills said the elections did not reflect the will of Zanu PF members.

“You are biased and not fair and that’s the reason why our party is falling apart because you are not seeking balanced representation,” shouted a Zanu PF member, who declined to be named.

The elections were supervised by Zanu PF director of commissariat, Kizito Kuchekwa, who described the internal polls as free and fair.

“That’s the nature of elections, some people win and lose. But, most people are happy despite some elements complaining,” he said.

Mandaza was later elected branch spokesperson, while Frank Murinya was voted youth league chairperson.

The elections were free and fair. Only losers will always have complains. When opposition lose they call it rigging, when they win, they call it hard work. We took our time to campaign and it paid off. In Politics you can’t sleep with a breast in your mouth. Kurara ne zamu mukanwa shuwa??

Why are these people in South Africa? Why not go home since your party is in power. Why not leave those not happy with king Mugabe in economic exile. You should be home contributing to the efforts and resounding success or is it resounding economic destruction of your party.

These ZANU PF hooligans should get the hell out of South Africa and come home. Oh they can’t get jobs or food in Zimbabwe so although their dream government for Zimbabwe is in power the country is a complete mess and they are economic exiles. What is surprising is that they can get residents permits.
