via RadioVop Zimbabwe – No Zanu(PF) Partnership With Biti’s MDC Renewal Team: Gumbo
Zanu PF says it will not entertain calls by the MDC to form a partnership to run and govern the country, stating that the revolutionary party has a clear mandate to administer the country.
The Zanu PF Secretary for Information and Publicity, Rugare Gumbo made the remarks following proclamation by the Tendai Biti-led MDC Renewal Team that it is making offers to partner the ruling Zanu PF party in government by forming a technical select committee comprising of both Zanu PF and MDC members to run the economy.
MDC Renewal Team spokesperson, Jacob Mafume said his party is in a process of engaging Zanu PF to be partners in government.
Gumbo said Zanu PF has a manifesto to fulfill and will not engage any political party as it is implementing its economic blue print, ZIMASSET.
He said the opposition party was given the opportunity to help manage the economy during the inclusive government, adding that it is time for the revolutionary party to deliver its promises to the electorate unhindered.

I thought the Renewal team was already in partnership with Zanu PF – all they need now is to formalise that partnership but from Gumbo’s comments above maybe Zanu PF is not yet ready.
In zimbabwe WHO are the real zimbabweans ,why dont zanu Pf respect fresh minds to help our economy ,stop playing games and stop putting politics in the economy of the country we want progress not power what what ,we love zimbabwe and we can build it together,so open the Gates for people with a future focus on Economy.
It appears ZANU dangled the carrot of Biti group joining arms with them after the MDC breakup. Now that they have done it, the carrot has been withdrawn. Only the stick-marks will remain.
Anyone who has thoughts of propping up ZANU is lost. Not at this time. For the good of Zimbabwe, please let the revolutionary party bake itself to extinction. They are almost there. Please dont give them a lifeline. We will be free soon.
