Schooled but useless, Chinos tells minister

via Schooled but useless, Chinos tells minister 16 July 2014

CONTROVERSIAL Zanu PF Buhera South MP, Joseph Chinotimba on Tuesday lambasted the Ministry of Industry and Commerce for failing to curb the closure of companies around the country.

Chinotimba, who was speaking in parliament while contributing to a motion raised by Zanu PF’s Beata Nyamupinga on economic challenges and high levels of unemployment currently facing the country, said the responsible minister had failed despite his high level of education.

He spoke after Nyamupinga had expressed concern on the death and injury of female vendors and their children as a result of raids by municipal police in urban centres.

Said Chinos: “Tine maminsters edu akadzidza kupinda vanaChinotimba asi vanokonewa. Deno ndangandirini minister weIndustry otherwise dzimwe nguri industry ingadai isina kufa nokuti tinouraya industry pachedu. Ikozvino tine makambani akavhara.

(We have our ministers who are educated more than Chinotimba but they are failing. If I was the minister, industries would have been functional … we are the ones who destroy industry on our own. At the moment we have many companies that have closed).”

Crippled by a worsening liquidity crisis and various other problems, companies continue to close down, worsening the country’s unemployment crisis.

A National Social Security Authority (Nssa) report for the period from July 2011 to July 2013 shows that 711 companies in Harare closed down, rendering 8,336 individuals jobless.

In addition, many companies were reportedly downsizing, in the process letting thousands of employees go.

Major companies that have retrenched include platinum miners Zimplats and Unki as well as Bindura Nickel, Spar supermarkets, Dairiboard, Cairns, Olivine Industries and PG Industries.

The government’s much-touted ZimAsset economic blueprint has failed to reverse the slide with the Zanu PF-led administration saying the programme should be given more time.

Analysts however, say the policy will fail as the State wants to be in control, instead of ensuring a favourable environment was in place for businesses to thrive.

I like Chinos for telling the truth . Others fear. Chinos is clever and literate. We cannot call him a moron just because he did not acquire a certain level of education. He is better than those who acquired the highest level of education. Some people are doing silly things hiding behind the fact that they are highly educated.

Chinos is foolish and his ideas are foolish. He’s too dumb to realise that industries are shutting down because of deep structural weaknesses in the economy, which stem from the country’s political crisis caused by Zanu. Yes we do have learned people like Mugabe, Mahoso and Jonathan Moyo who have caused a lot of
damage. But that’s because they’re evil men who lack humanity and principles. You need those as well as deep knowledge, education and experience to run a ministry competently, let alone a country

Chinos is talking hogwash. He is the one who facilated the demise of our country by leading in farm invations. That was the start of the mess we are in now. There are no two ways about it. So he is equally to blame.

Chinotimba is the worst living coward and is spewing self serving propaganda as it is well known to him that the leader of ZanuPF is the one who promised Zimbos 2.2 million jobs last year and has clearly failed? Chinos should therefore be directing his diatribe on his masters and leaving poor Bimha alone? Chinos knows for sure that what is destroying industry has everything to do with bad policies such as the empowerment story and Bimha is not the author of this policy and I could go on and on. Bimha’s realistic crime would be to accept a job knowing fully well that he would not be allowed to have the tools to work with!!!

Chinos has no moral authority to talk about company closures as he greatly contributed to this problem through the workers union he formed to rival Zctu. He went on a drive with his populism trying to win Glenorah and Highfield seats by forcing some companies to award unsustainable salaries and to force some retailers to reduce prices during the food shortages and hyper inflationary period.

He is responsible for much of the destruction of the economy by chasing off (and killing) the farmers and employees who were feeding the nation, but of course he is too clever to understand that!

Exactly. He is still causing problems in Zim by sending his thugs to do his filthy work. He should be locked up and the key thrown away. Cowardly swine.

Chinos made his mistakes, but that does not stop him pointing bad things, he is better off than those yes men, who thinks they will resuscitate the economy by bad governance. Its better he keeps on attacking them so that the electorates, will see where to vote. Chasing up vendors is not the best solution, the solution is enacting policies which can create jobs. By attacking Ministers Chinos is very right, look at Chombo, Mpofu to name a few, u think these people are worthy to be ministers.
