ZETDC has signed two mega contracts, one of which is aimed at improving security of power supplies in Manicaland and part of Masvingo Province.
TWO Chinese contractors have concluded power deals with the Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission Distribution Company (ZETDC) worth $381,6 million, The Financial Gazette has learnt.
The deals were signed three months ago, according to the State-owned power utility.
ZETDC, a unit of ZESA Holdings, signed a $145,7 million contract with China CAMCE to create a portal at Triangle to connect a 400 kilovolt (kv) transmission line from South Africa to Zimbabwe.
