THE City of Harare has more than doubled vehicle towing and clamping charges with immediate effect, which will see offenders forking out US$65, up from US$30.
In a statement yesterday, the City of Harare said the charges would be payable in both the United States dollar and local currency at the official exchange rate. In Zimbabwe dollars, the charges for light motor vehicles are now $6 434, up from $2 451, while commuter omnibuses will pay $8 413, an increase from $2 680.
