An audio recording by an unidentified woman on social media claims that a child was seen approaching the podium at yesterday’s Zanu (PF) rally minutes before the bomb went off. The child was asking officials if he could read his poem in praise of President Emmerson Mnangagwa from the podium.
He was held back by officials but as Mnangagwa walked off the stage the child pushed his way forward and threw something.
There has been no corroboration of this claim yet.
