The SADC Chairman, President Mugabe left Harare for South Africa to attend the SADC double troika meeting on events unfolding in the Kingdom of Lesotho.
Recent events in Lesotho, which saw assassination of two prominent people and arrests of several military and police personnel, has prompted the regional grouping to convene a double troika in Pretoria.
The President, as a senior statesman in the region, is expected to play a key role in the resolution of the crisis.
He was seen off at the Harare International Airport by Vice President Phelekezela Mphoko and other senior government officials.
