More than 2 000 schools will be constructed in the country over the next few years following the opening of satellite schools in new resettlement areas and new urban settlements, a government official has revealed.
Deputy Minister of Primary and Secondary Education minister Paul Mavhima said government was working with a private banking institution to ensure that more schools were constructed in the country and also to improve education infrastructure.
Mavhima said he must acknowledge that the country is facing a deficit of school infrastructure and there is need to construct schools countrywide and among this are satellite schools.
