Bulawayo Deputy Mayor Edwin Ndlovu and his co-accused councillors, Ntandoyenkosi Ndlovu, Mxolisi Mahlangu and Ashton Mhlanga, have been on Wednesday granted bail.
Bulawayo High Court Judge, Justice Naison Chivhayo, granted each of them bail of US$500.
Meanwhile, Alderman Rodney Jele remains in custody.
They were all arrested by the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission on allegations that they tried to extort US$52 000 from a local businessman who wanted to extend his lease on a piece of land to build a hotel in the city.
The Deputy Mayor was arrested together with Clrs Jele and Ndlovu on August 22 while Clrs Mahlangu and Mhlanga were arrested on August 26.
