A TOTAL of 1 002 police officers are set to graduate tomorrow at Ntabazinduna Training Academy as the Zimbabwe Republic Police continues to strengthen its human resources capacity.
The graduation ceremony will be officiated by the Minister of Home Affairs and Cultural Heritage, Kazembe Kazembe.
Of the 1 002 officers graduating, 307 are female while 695 are male.
In a statement, national police spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi said the officers would be awarded Diplomas in Police Studies.
“The Zimbabwe Republic Police will hold a graduation ceremony for trainees who have successfully completed the Certificate in Police Studies Programme at the Zimbabwe Republic Police Ntabazinduna Training Academy. The graduation ceremony is scheduled for September 18, 2026, at 0900 hours at the Ntabazinduna Training Academy Green Square in Matabeleland North Province.
“The guest of honour is the Minister of Home Affairs and Cultural Heritage, Honourable Kazembe Kazembe. A total of 1 002 police graduates will participate in the graduation parade, comprising 695 males and 307 females,” he said.
In March, a total of 797 police officers graduated at Mkushi Camp, formerly Morris Depot, in Harare after completing a two-year training programme.
The ceremony was officiated by Commissioner-General of Police Stephen Mutamba.
Of the 797 officers who graduated, 242 were female while 555 were male.
In his address, Comm-Gen Mutamba said modern policing was complex and multifaceted, hence the need for dynamic and continuous human capital development.
