Confront Zanu PF dictatorship — Biti

via Confront Zanu PF dictatorship — Biti January 29, 2015 by Moses Matenga

MDC RENEWAL Team secretary-general Tendai Biti yesterday urged Zimbabweans to embark on mass protests to dislodge what he termed the “predatory” Zanu PF government for failing to address a myriad of problems affecting the country.

Biti told journalists in Harare that Zanu PF was “heartless” and “clueless” in addressing Zimbabwe’s challenges as the party was embroiled in bitter succession fights and “internal cannibalism” at the expense of the ordinary people.

“Therefore, the onus is thus on the people of Zimbabwe to free themselves by confronting the Zanu PF dictatorship. Zanu PF is not interested in dialogue and in respecting the citizen. Therefore, it is up to the people to use their constitutional rights and confront Zanu PF,” Biti said.

“After all, section 67 of the national Constitution bestows full political rights to every citizen to demonstrate and petition peacefully. It’s time for Zimbabwe to stand up! We will see the last supper actions. They are going to steal as if they are on drugs in 2015. There will be a lot of sideshows to entertain and divert attention from real issues of the day, the Gamatox and other sideshows.”

He said his party was calling for the immediate resignation of the Zanu PF government and allow for the coming-in of a team of technocrats with a view to rebuilding the country.

Biti also said the all-party convergence conference set for March should be spearheaded by churches and civic society organisations and not by people with “tattered images” in apparent reference to MDC-T leader Morgan Tsvangirai.

Would be great if it was from the opposition.
    Guy is a dyed-in-the-wool Zanoid.

He cannot even agree with the other morons on leadership of the so-called grand coalition!

I have always respected B.T as seeming the ONLY one in any MDC who realised just how evil The Bhobho and Zanooo are. M.T got suckered in by The Bhobho.

But Zim has totally fallen apart, though the majority of the people deserve the misery they have brought upon themselves through their greed and racism. They applauded when Zanooo destroyed agriculture and it seems supported Kasukuwere’s “indigenisation” theft project, even though only The Mafia benefitted.

Desperate times demand desperate measures. Realizing the rogues will not cede power because of an ‘X’, a different approach needs to be vigorously pursued. As a people we need to stand and confront this Zanu puff monster once and for all. More political and civic group leaders must make this clarion call.

It seems that very big egos are at play in the political arena of all parties. This is the problem we face today as each wanna be president scrambles for the top job. You expect the people to get rid of this evil we have. How ? You the opposition have disorientated the peoples thinking resulting in lost votes. Should you abstain from egotism then maybe things can happen. Until then think ahead.
