New Session of Parliament : Government’s Legislative Agenda and State of the Nation Address Tomorrow a new session of the current Parliament will begin.
His Excellency the President will address a joint sitting of the Senate and the National Assembly, outlining the Government’s legislative agenda for the new session and delivering the annual State of the Nation Address (SONA).
Members of the media fraternity are invited to cover this event. We will publish the legislative agenda and SONA as soon as they are available. Traditionally, both Houses adjourn after the opening of a new session, so they will not be sitting for the remainder of the week. We will publish a bulletin in due course notifying the date they are to resume and the business they will deal with.
