A Plumtree woman assaulted her domestic worker with a hammer following a dispute over her missing daughter.
The matter came to light when Okwaziyo Ncube appeared before Plumtree magistrate Joshua Nembaware facing an assault charge.
Ncube pleaded not guilty and was remanded out of custody to November 9.
Prosecutor Voster Mukuwerere said on October 16, Ncube had a misunderstanding with her domestic worker Esnath Mpofu.
Ncube accused Mpofu of arranging boyfriends for her daughter, who had not returned home after attending a party before assaulting her with a hammer. Mpofu was left nursing a swollen face.Voster Makuwerere represented the state.
