The manager of a company which is said to have supplied poachers with cyanide allegedly used for poisoning to death 81 elephants in Hwange National Park, has been remanded out of custody on a $100 bail by Bulawayo magistrate Gladmore Mushove.

Elvis Ncube of Servcor Zimbabwe (Pvt) Limited is facing charges of contravening some sections of the Environment Management Act for supplying dangerous chemicals to unregistered users.

The state case is that Ncube allegedly sold three tonnes of sodium cyanide to a number of people including poachers suspected to have used it to poison elephants in Hwange National Park.

Robert Maphosa, Thabani Zondo and Dedani Tshuma have already been jailed for poisoning the elephants in search for elephant tusks being sold in lucrative Asian markets.

Four other suspected poachers will soon appear in court facing charges of using cyanide without permission.

If this guy supplied the poison to poachers how, on Gods Earth, can he be out on a USD 100.00 bail? Poison him because that’s what he deserves. It seems that very few black Africans care for their natural heritage. Money rules. Disgusting.

This Magistrate gladmore mushowe is also a disgust. I suspect he wa bribed also for only issuing that dirty $100 bail. He is incompetent and this matter is supposed to be dealt with only with the highest courts.

No bail is suppose to be issued in these kind of cases. To hell gladmore mushowe, did you even go to school.

3 kgs of Potassium Cyanide will kill thousands of people let alone elephant. Why has such a criminal idiot been allowed to handle such a dangerous chemical? Surely he and his superiors should be given a couple of milligrams of the chemical.
