THE 2027 National Budget will be presented to Parliament by the Minister of Finance, Professor Mthuli Ncube, on November 19, with Government outlining key spending priorities, revenue measures and economic targets for the coming year.
The Budget will be presented under the theme, “Accelerating economic transformation and building resilience to climate shocks and global shocks”.
The Second Republic seeks to consolidate economic gains while strengthening the country’s capacity to withstand external and climate-related shocks.
Prof Ncube said preparations for the Budget were at an advanced stage, with Members of Parliament beginning a four-day pre-Budget retreat in Bulawayo today.
“I will be presenting this budget to Parliament on November 19. But as part of the budgetary preparation process, there is a need for Members of Parliament to have a retreat.
“The retreat usually takes four days and this retreat is taking place in Bulawayo this year,” he said.
Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe Governor Dr John Mushayavanhu is expected to headline the pre-Budget seminar, which will provide an opportunity for legislators and policymakers to discuss key economic developments ahead of the 2027 Budget presentation.
