Join us tonight on Star FM at 9pm as we unpack the Commission of Inquiry into the 2018 Post-Election Violence.

NTJWG Chairperson Mr. Alec Muchadehama, Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights’ Executive Director Ms. Roselyn Hanzi, Zimbabwe Council Churches’ Programme Manager Fambai Ngirande will discuss the legacy of violence in Zimbabwe, the 1 August killings by the military and the Commission of Inquiry with George Msumba tonight at 9pm.

The NTJWG has already released a statement on the appointment of the commission of inquiry, its mandate and the caliber of the persons appointed into the commission. See full statement here.

To understand the magnitude of the violence, see the report by Zimbabwe Human Rights NGO Forum here

NTJWG has noted that the 1 August 2018 killing of civilians is not an isolated incident of violence. Zimbabwe is haunted by a legacy of unacknowledged gross violation of human rights.

Please tune in on Star FM tonight at 9PM.  Follow us on twitter @ntjwgzimbabwe and on facebook.
