MARONDERA police have recovered the body of yet another woman who was allegedly raped before being murdered a few days after recording three similar incidents.

The body of Jane Makaza (26), was recovered from a pond in Dombotombo high-density suburb.

“Police are appealing to anyone with information on circumstances surrounding the death of the deceased or anyone with information pertaining to this case to come forward or alert the police,” police said in a
statement.

The body was sent to Marondera Hospital mortuary for post-mortem.

Three women were reportedly raped and killed in Marondera at the weekend among them a 61-year-old granny who was attacked while in her maize
field.

Close to 10 women have been raped and killed in Marondera in the past two months, raising fears that a serial killer and rapist is on the loose in the Mashonaland East provincial
capital.
