VICTORIA FALLS – German football legend Bastian Schweinsteiger arrived in Victoria Falls on Thursday with the UEFA Champions League trophy as part of its global tour, offering fans a rare chance to get up close with the iconic silverware.

Victoria Falls, Zambian side, marks the final stop of the trophy’s African leg, including visits to Kenya and South Africa — the only African countries selected for the prestigious tour.

Schweinsteiger, a UEFA ambassador, has accompanied the trophy across several continents, with stops in Vietnam, Indonesia, China, South Korea, and Japan, ahead of the Champions League final later this year.
