Chombo remanded in custody

Former Zimbabwe finance minister Ignatius Chombo, pictured above, who was among those detained by the military when they seized power before Robert Mugabe resigned, appeared in court in Harare today and was charged with three counts of corruption in offences that took place more than a decade ago.

He is believed by many to own half of Zimbabwe in stands and properties. He was remanded in custody until December 8th.
