TEACHING and learning activities commenced smoothly at both Government and privately-owned schools across the country yesterday, with most teachers and learners reporting for duty on time.
A snap survey conducted at several schools across Harare and other areas showed normal learning activities taking place, with classrooms fully occupied and lessons proceeding without disruptions.
At Government-owned schools such as Harare High School, teachers were seen conducting lessons as learners settled into the new term after the April holidays.
At Prince Edward School, it was also business as usual, with sporting and academic activities resuming immediately after opening.
Private schools also recorded full attendance by both learners and teaching staff.
Director for Communications and Advocacy in the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education Mr Taungana Ndoro said schools across the country were operating normally.
