Harare – There are unconfirmed reports that Simba Chikore, former president Robert Mugabe’s son-in-law, was arrested last night.

It is not clear at this time what the charge is. He was appointed the chief operating officer of the debt-ridden national carrier, Air Zimbabwe when his father-in- law was president. He was then moved to Zimbabwe airways – a shadowy airline whose ownership of shrouded in mystery. The airline claims it has bought three Boeing 777s from Air Malaysia, one of which landed a couple of months ago at the Robert Mugabe Airport and then flew out again back to Malaysia without coming into service. The plane has not returned.
Chikore is married to Bona, Mugabe’s first-born child.
