A 36-year-old Plumtree man has been fined US$200 and ordered to do 210 hours of community service for threatening to kill her sister after she reprimanded him for sleeping with his girlfriend in her matrimonial bed.
Letshedzani Tshuma became furious after his sister Wanani warned him against sleeping with his girlfriend in her room.
Tshuma assaulted and insulted her with unprintable words before threatening to kill her.
Plumtree magistrate Joshua Nembaware fined Tshuma US$200 for the threats and sentenced him to 210 hours of community service for assault.
Prosecutor Selestine Madziwa had told the court that on January 4, Tshuma was at his sister’s place and was warned not to bring his girlfriend to her house since she felt he was disrespectful by sleeping on her bed.
Tshuma became angry and assaulted his sister while threatening to kill her.
